Two-thirds of the workforce in Germany is already experiencing the change in their work through digitalization. The boundaries between the virtual and real world of work disappear under Industry 4.0 increasingly as a result of technological progress.
From engineers to craft businesses and enterprises new business processes are designed increasingly based on digital devices and social media. Cloud Computing is providing the supporting technology and enables entirely new product services. The impact on the business processes is so comprehensive that companies have to make these developments in order to remain competitive.

Under Innovation Impulse two speakers will address these topics:

  • Christian Gorldt, BIBA – Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics, will speak on the subject of Industry 4.0 and show what changes have already gained currency in the technical sectors and where things are headed.
  • Arne Schulz, Managing Partner of Axtrion GmbH & Co.KG, will highlight the benefits of Cloud Computing especially for small and midsized enterprises (SMEs) with examples from architecture, trade and industry.

Note: This event is organized as a part of the Innovation impulse series in cooperation with the Handwerkskammer Bremen, the RKW Bremen GmbH and the WFB Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH.
